People Fur Paws holiday drive has begun

Last year, the program raised $4,000 in donated items in addition to $3,000

MacNeil Construction, a contracting business specializing in residential and commercial builds and renovations, announces the kick off of their People Fur Paws holiday drive.

Barrie builder Alair Homes, a member of one of North America’s fastest growing custom home builders and renovators, is a proud supporter of the initiative which donates all of its proceeds to Ontario SPCA and Humane Society – a registered charity that provides province-wide leadership on matters relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal wellbeing.

According to a Humane Canada study conducted between February and April 2018, Canadian shelters took in more than 87,000 cats and 33,000 dogs in 2017.

Led by MacNeil Construction, and supported by various businesses in Barrie, People Fur Paws aims to support Ontario animal shelters by inviting residents from the local area to donate supplies, ranging from: food, beds, toys, crates and gift cards.

Last year, People Fur Paws raised $4,000 in donated items and $3,000 in monetary donations for Barrie’s local shelters.

With the holidays fast approaching, #TeamAlair encourages Barrie residents to visit one of the drop-off locations, and donate what they can to support the vast number of animals being brought in.

From Nov. 7 to Dec. 12, 2019 donations can be made by visiting one of the drop-off locations in the Barrie area, noted below. Make sure to check the location’s opening hours before you visit.
