Nottawasaga OPP shows support for local food banks

On Saturday several auxiliary members of the OPP spent the day at two locations, collecting 1,214 pounds of groceries for local food banks

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ADJALA-TOSORONTIO & ESSA TOWNSHIPS — The Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) auxiliary unit participated in two food drives to support local food banks.

On Saturday Sept. 24, 2022, auxiliary members spent the day at two locations:

  • 30 King Street South in Alliston at the local Zehrs grocery store
  • 247 Mill Street in Angus at the local Sobeys grocery store

It was a successfully day, thanks to our amazing and thoughtful community. All items were weighed for a combined total of 1,214 pounds of groceries. Monetary donations were also collected that will contribute to further grocery purchases.
