In a time when the media landscape is rapidly changing and traditional outlets are scaling back, the recent hire of Andrew Auger as Director of Sales emphasizes Village Media's continued expansion of its digital presence.

Auger began his career in radio in the 1990s, before switching mediums to work with print news at the North Bay Nugget. He moved exclusively to Digital Sales in 2012. He most recently held the position of Group Director of Digital Sales for Postmedia (which had recently acquired a number of Sun Media newspapers) and looks forward to the challenge of taking his career to the next level with Ontario’s fastest growing media network.

“The move to BarrieToday is a perfect fit for me professionally,” said Auger. “Village Media is growing quickly and I look forward to working closely with advertisers in the communities we serve and throughout the province.”

As one of the largest providers of online news in Northern Ontario, Village Media remains committed to expanding its reach in the digital world. “We are extremely excited to have Andrew on our team,” said Jeff Elgie, CEO of Village Media.  “We know that he will bring a high level of customer service to our clients and help us expand our reach throughout Ontario.”

Auger will be based in North Bay, Ontario.  Reach him at [email protected] or phone him at 705-494-0965, or toll free at 855-998-2464 ext. 142
