ESSA TWP. — On Saturday, July 31, 2021, Green Apple Cannabis, a local dispensary, located in the heart of Thornton, Ont., opened its doors to the public for their grand opening.
Attendees were able to treat themselves to a tasty barbecue and live music, while getting an exclusive look at the new dispensary.
There were a variety of cannabis products and accessories available to browse and shop, along with expert bud-tenders to provide any advice needed.
“The turnout was amazing. Actually, the turnout was so incredible, it far surpassed my expectations,” said Sheri Norman, owner of Green Apple Cannabis. “The community support was fantastic. It was incredible, such an amazing day.”
Sheri and staff were blown away from the amount of support they received from Thornton and surrounding communities. Many other local businesses came by the grand opening to say hi to their new neighbours.
Many attendees commented on how successful they felt the grand opening was and how they can’t wait to come back and shop again.
“Walking into Green Apple Cannabis, I felt welcomed when I normally would feel intimidated and out of place in a dispensary,” said Jessica Kinkade, who attended the grand opening. "It had everything to do with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They made my experience absolutely flawless, I cannot wait to come back again.”
