Stonebridge presents the 2019 National Parachuting Championships this Labour Day weekend.

Where Canada’s best skydivers compete for the honour of representing Canada on the world’s stage. Competitors are expected to brave the extreme and compete in over 10 skydiving events, for a chance to be selected to represent our country at the Worlds Skydiving Championships in 2020.

Tethered hot air balloon rides from 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. kick off the opening ceremonies on Aug. 31. This is an opening ceremony you do not want to miss!

It will be a spectacular show with an opening ceremonies skydive celebrating the theme of no limits, consisting of the first paraplegic skydiver to jump and land with a wheelchair. Para-bobsled champion, skydiver and base jumper Lonnie Bissonette, as well as Wasaga Beach dignitaries Joe Belanger and Mark Kinney.

Come experience the Nationals and celebrate not just skydiving, but aviation in general. There will also be classic plane and acrobatic flyovers, Radio control (RC) plane demonstrations, model build and fly competitions for kids, rides, bouncy castles, vendors, beer garden, Live music and magic

Wasaga Beach Sports Park is the place to create memories this Labour Day weekend. A family friendly time right before kids head back to school!

Not only will this be a visual spectacle for all, there will be no shortage of things to do. Free Spirit Tours will be set up for canoe and SUP rentals, Hand Racing RC will have a track, Wasaga Beach Paintball will showcase a laser tag field.

The competition will wrap up on Friday, Sept. 6 with a very special closing ceremonies at the Marlwood Gold Course in Wasaga Beach.
