The Barrie Community Life Centre says a planned celebration of life for Jaimee Lee Miller has been postponed to give her family an opportunity to participate.
The service was scheduled for March 29 at the Burton Avenue United Church and people who knew Miller in Barrie were expected to attend.
"The evening we had planned for next week has been temporarily postponed at her family's request to allow them time to attend when they are prepared to do so," said organizer Ken Tooby.
Toobey says he will advise when a new date is set.
Miller's body was found in woods off the east side of Gill Road in Springwater Township last week.
Police are treating the death of the 30-year-old as a homicide.
She was reported missing to Barrie Police on Nov. 2, 2015 and was last heard from via text message on Thanksgiving.
There is no word on the cause of Miller's death or if police have any suspects.
