INNISFIL - On Monday, March 28, 2016, South Simcoe Police were called to a Gilford home for a domestic argument.

When they arrived they were greeted by a man who told them his wife had assaulted him.

The man explained that his wife had been drinking and insulting his sister over the internet.

When he confronted her about it, she became enraged, striking him in the head with both her fists and a cell phone.

After he fled, his wife smashed the windshield of his truck and dented the hood.

A 28-year-old Gilford woman has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and mischief under $5,000.

She has been ordered to avoid the victim and reside elsewhere while she awaits her May court date. The victim did not require medical treatment.

BRADFORD - On Sunday, March 27, 2016, just after the dinner hour, South Simcoe Police were called to a Bradford home for a domestic argument.

A man who had been drinking slapped his wife during a dispute. The 44-year-old man was charged with assault.

He will be residing elsewhere, and has conditions to stay away from the victim. His court appearance is scheduled for April.

The victim did not require medical attention.
