On Saturday, July 23, at 11 p.m., Barrie Police were notified to attend in the area of Johnson's beach in regards to a suspicious vehicle.

Police located the vehicle with two male occupants. The male driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and transported to the Barrie Police station where he blew three times the legal limit of alcohol.

He vehicle was impounded for a week and license suspended for 90 days. 

The male was later released with a future court date.
