After the great success of Too Nice, Madison Mueller is releasing her new single Sweet Bitterness on April 28, 2021.
There is a lot of excitement over this song, especially due to the involvement of some well renowned artists, such as engineer and producer Michael Jack. Michael has recorded, edited, and/or mixed sessions for artists such as: The Trews, Bono, Nelly Furtado, Hilary Duff, Rush, and Ludacris. He has been awarded 25 gold and platinum records with singles and albums reaching the U.S. Billboard charts.
Madison was proud to be working with so much talent.
“I was really amazed with the musicians invited in for this song. We had Juno winners and gold albums recipients, which helped take this song to an amazing level.”
Sweet Bitterness was written while Madison was in a winter funk, which was characterized as a lack of motivation, longing for happier times, and just an overall feeling of wanting to escape to a different place.
With this song, the desire to look at life like when you were a kid, is the most prominent source of inspiration. It’s the feeling of getting excited over the smallest things as a child, and not experiencing that same amount of joy in current moments.
She wanted to capture that feeling of insecurity in the lyrics, and the innocence of the old memories in the music. The hitting line in the song is “I wanna feel alive,” which encompasses the entire meaning of the song.
Mueller says, “I’m glad it could come alive the way it did, and make me feel alive while watching it develop.”
Madison is looking forward to being able to perform live again but until then you can see her doing live performances on her Facebook and Instagram pages during the lockdown, so be sure to follow her on all social media to see when the next one is scheduled.
