Rediscover the wonders of winter and reconnect with friends and family at the Frozen in Time Festival in Collingwood.

Enjoy free family fun at Collingwood’s Frozen in Time Festival, downtown Collingwood’s annual Ice Sculpture Celebration. More that 25 ice sculptures celebrating the history of sport will line the streets of downtown Collingwood starting on Dec. 28.
 
The world-renowned ice sculptors will also be doing special carving sessions as well as the highly entertaining ice carvers’ showdown at the Battle of the Chainsaws on Saturday and Sunday. The best way to see all the sculptures? Take a family wagon ride, which starts at 11 a.m. at the new Collingwood bus terminal at Pine and Second Street.
 
Returning to the Festival is a 40-foot long double ice slide that will take riders on a memorable ride right beside Town Hall. New this year is a free skate at 5 p.m. followed by and celebrity sledge hockey game at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Eddie Busch Memorial Arena.

Coinciding with this year’s festival is Rogers Hometown Hockey, taking place  in the heart of downtown Collingwood on Dec. 29-30. Taking over Hurontario Street between 2nd and 3rd streets. 

The event will provide visitors and residents a unique opportunity to experience this touring hockey festival. Collingwood is one of 25 communities across Canada hosting Rogers Hometown Hockey this year.

This free, family-friendly hockey celebration weekend will include live local entertainment, NHL alumni, a ball hockey rink, local celebrities and more hockey-themed activities for all ages. 

Join Ron MacLean and Tara Slone live from the Hurontario Street Sportsnet mobile studio on Sunday, Dec. 30 for their live Sportsnet broadcast. They will be sharing the stories that celebrate the hockey history and culture that put Collingwood on Canada's hockey map.

Then, stick around to catch the outdoor viewing party as the Vegas Golden Knights take on the Arizona Coyotes.

The free hockey-themed weekend features games, prize giveaways, fun activities, and live local entertainment for the whole family, including:
