ORILLIA – As parents look ahead to a day off school this coming Friday, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Museum, which is located at OPP General Headquarters in Orillia is a great place to consider visiting with your children.

The Kids Zone at The OPP Museum is open, free of charge, to all children accompanied by parents or guardians from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Kid Zone activities include trying on uniforms, puzzle solving, creating Lego street scene reconstructions, puppet show and story reading areas.

Also, on Friday, January 29 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Friends of The OPP Museum will set up two additional free Parents and Kids “drop in” activity tables.

One table will be set up for button making and one for colouring of supplied paper, bookmarks and cards.

All children visiting The OPP Museum on this day will also be eligible for a free draw of an OPP Teddy Bear, compliments of the OPP Off Duty Shopp.

The public is reminded that the OPP Museum is open daily Monday to Friday and admission is free to all the displays, exhibits and activities.

The Off Duty Shopp which is also located along Public Street is also open to the general public.

All adults or any adults accompanying children must have identification with them when entering the main doors at the OPP General Headquarters which is located at 777 Memorial Ave. in Orillia.
