Local photographer Jennifer Klementti is donating $15 from the sale of her print collection to New Path Youth & Family Services (New Path) in support child and youth mental health.

This print collection is a series of fine art photographs of Klementti’s hometown, Barrie, Ont. It explores finding beauty where you least expect it, like in a parking garage, transit tunnel, or the lake.

“I really wanted to be able to give back to our community with this print collection. Children and youth are the forgotten voices of this pandemic, which has had a devastating impact on the mental health of many children and youth. They deserve all the support we can give them,” says Jennifer Klementti, owner of Jennifer Klementti Print Shop.

“This particular collection lent itself very well to the idea of overcoming adversity and healing. Water is very calming, and the urban images also have a quiet stillness in them.”

The fine art prints are $100 each and are printed on archival Hahnemuhle Fine Art Rag paper, which is the highest quality, and most archival art paper. Hahnemuhle is known for its focus on quality instead of quantity using the best raw materials and craftsmanship, while maintaining great environmental standards and minimal use of chemicals and brighteners.

"Children, youth and their families are struggling right now. This amazing offer from Jennifer through her incredible photography work will directly and positively impact families seeking support with mental health challenges,” says Elizabeth McKeeman, CEO of New Path Youth & Family Services. "We are so thankful for her support and are really hoping that anyone who is able to support us through the purchase of a print does so."

The collection runs until June 15 and is available to view and order online: Jennifer Klementti Print Shop

As many as 1 in 5 children and youth in Ontario will experience some form of mental health problem. By raising awareness through CMHW, we can decrease the stigma and increase awareness of the importance of getting early mental health supports.
