Hard work, desire and dedication truly pays off. This could not be more true than for Quinn Rozario, an advance brown belt at RMA Karate Centres in Barrie.

The 40-year-old recently (Victoria long weekend) competed at the WKC National team trials in Ottawa vying for his place on the national team. Only the top four placements in each division are able to secure their spot on team Canada.

Rozario competed in two divisions of hard style forms and weapons alongside many seasoned competitors who also had higher black belt degrees. After two days of competing in his respective divisions, he placed fourth in the weapons division which secured his placement with the team. Rozario has made the national team representing Canada this October in Ireland.
