Robert (Rob) and Iva Taylor of Barrie are smiling after winning a top prize with Instant Cash For Life (Game #1172). The couple accepted the lump sum payment of $675,000.

“I’ve been a fan of Cash For Life since it started,” shared Rob, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their cheque. “I usually play a ticket right after I purchase it but this time I put my ticket in my pocket and forgot about it until the next day.”

When Rob finally scratched his ticket he couldn’t believe what he was seeing so he had his wife take a look. “When he showed me the ticket I could see he was a little nervous and shaking. When I saw the three matching symbols showing we had won I could understand his jitters. I was just as shocked!” shared Iva.

“We have already started to make some plans – and travel is a big part of our dreams. A tropical island or two and maybe a cruise,” smiled Rob, who has been married to Iva for over 35 years.

Iva added. “And of course, we are thinking of our children and grandchildren and how to make this money grow for us and them.”

Instant Cash For Life is available for $4 a play and the top prize is $1,000 a week for life. Odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.93.

The winning ticket was purchased at MacEwen on Dunlop Street in Barrie.
