JULIA COEY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION

The Julia Coey Memorial Foundation of Barrie, which was founded in late 2021 by Coey's partner Greg Down and her parents, Lesley and Jim Coey, donated their first $1,000 cheque to the Barrie Food Bank.
The foundation, set up to honour the life of their daughter Julia, has its mandate to support charities and causes that Julia would have supported.
The food bank was chosen by the board of directors as a worthy cause, and Julia would have wholeheartedly approved.
The foundation, with its headquarters in Barrie, will be supporting other local charities in the future.
As president of the foundation, Greg Down says that hopefully, this is only the beginning of many more such donations and thanks all those who have contributed so generously to the foundation
