Pratheeban Sivarajah of Innisfill can realize his dreams after winning $500,000 in the June 8, 2021 Lotto Max draw. He won half of a MaxMillions prize that was shared with another winning ticket.
Pratheeban, a 42-year-old father, said he plays his own numbers that he chooses randomly.

“I used the Ticket Checker and saw Big Winner on the screen,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I went home to tell my wife – she thought I was playing a joke on her,” he laughed.
Pratheeban says this win feels great. “I can’t believe this cheque for $500,000 is mine!”
“My business was hit hard from the pandemic, and I didn’t want my staff to lose any income, so I kept them all on at my own expense. This win will be invested back into my business,” he said.
