Congratulations to Angela Cantwell of Innisfil for winning $150,000 with The Bigger Spin Instant game (Game #2130).
Angela, a 59-year old grandmother of five, had bought herself several tickets as a way to keep entertained at home during COVID-19. “I bought three tickets – the first won $10 instantly, the second had a Spin which won $10 and the third also won a Spin prize,” she shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her cheque. “I thought the Spin landed on $150 but the cashier told me I won $150,000! It was unbelievable,” she smiled.
Immediately after winning, Angela phoned her sister while still inside the store. “I said, ‘you’re not going to believe this,’ and she didn’t! The other customers in the store yelled out, ‘she’s not lying!’” she laughed.
The product assembler plans to invest her winnings in real estate. “I figure it’s the best way to invest my money,” she concluded.
The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto has resumed in-person prize claims for winning-ticket holders of $50,000 or more by-appointment only.
To best protect customers and staff, OLG has put in place appropriate health and safety protocols in accordance with guidelines from public health officials, which include physical distancing measures, the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the pre-screening of visitors before granting entry.
Currently, OLG is reaching out to major prize winners ($50,000+) who have been unable to claim their prizes due to COVID-19 to schedule appointments for in-person prize claims. In the coming weeks, OLG will open appointments to anyone wishing to claim their prize in-person at the Prize Centre.
