Hometown Hockey gets people outside in Collingwood

Hometown Hockey continues today with more activities, live music, shows and NHL celebrities

A two-day hockey festival paired with a three-day ice sculpture festival has made those quiet days between Christmas and New Year's very busy in Collingwood.

Downtown, Hurontario street is closed to vehicle traffic and is set up with a stage, vendors, activities, hockey celebrities and lots of games.

If racing is your favourite, you have options like a 40-foot dual ice slide, or a virtual reality Zamboni driving game. Practise your slapshot with a few precision training games, or join your friends on a ball hockey rink set up in the street.

The festivities continue today with activities, live music, autograph signings and more.

Tonight, see Ron MacLean and Tara Slone host the pre-game show from the mobile studio set up downtown Collingwood.

At 8 p.m., you can watch the Arizona Coyotes take on the Vegas Golden Nights on the outdoor screens in front of the Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.
