A fog advisory is in effect.

Mainly cloudy today, 60 percent chance of showers early this morning wth risk of a thunderstorm. Fog dissipating this morning, wind gusting to 50 m/h and the high 13.

Fog advisory in effect for:

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Dense fog is occurring in these areas and while it may improve at times, it is generally expected to persist into late morning.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
