Glowing Hearts needs community support for backpack drive

Donation bins being placed around Barrie to collect school supplies

GLOWING HEARTS CHARITY

The team at Glowing Hearts Charity (GHC) is well on their way, preparing for Backpacks for Youth 2022.

But, they need help from the community in order to provide 1,000 students in low-income households with everything they need to start the school year feeling empowered and confident.

This year the charity has joined forces to run School Supply Drives at libraries in Alliston, Angus, Bradford, Beeton, Creemore, Duntroon, Midhurst, Midland, New Lowell, Orillia, Penetanguishene, Stayner, Thornton, and Tottenham, and in Barrie at the Barrie Farmers’ Market on June 11 and 18, and donation bin locations around the city found on their website here.

Glowing Hearts Charity needs new school supplies such as Backpacks, Crayola Pencil Crayons (24), Crayola Markers, Duotangs, Lined Paper, Geometry sets, Scientific Calculators, Calculators, Construction Paper, and more. To see the full list of items please visit the Donate Items tab here.
