BARRIE - Saturday, July 13, 2019: When Ian Miller, owner of Endeavour Tattoos & Piercings noticed the amount of waste being produced by the tattoo industry, he decided to take action and give back to Barrie’s environment. Miller contacted Living Green, Barrie’s Environmental not-for-profit, and created the Love Earth Tattoo Event.
This event taking place on Saturday will see the Endeavour team offering inexpensive nature-themed tattoos all day with all proceeds from the day helping to fund Living Green Barrie’s Tree Planting Program.
Inspired by Endeavour’s commitment to raising funds for tree planting, Living Green’s Director, Andee Pelan, has decided to take it to the next level and get her first tattoo. Pelan created a Facebook campaign where she challenged her friends to raise money for trees, and in exchange, she will commit to getting her first tattoo; something that her fear of regrets has stopped her from doing previously.
“That’s right, at 50 years of age, I will get my first tattoo…that is, if you donate to Living Green.
I will swallow my fear of regrets and will get a tattoo (and pay for it myself of course) if I raise $200 for Living Green. If I raise $1,000, It will be larger-than-I’m-comfortable with.
If I raise over $5,000, the words “No Regerts” (spelling error intact) will be in the tattoo.”

Pelan hopes her personal tattoo fundraiser, as well as Endeavour’s Love Earth Tattoo Event will inspire citizens to donate to Living Green Barrie’s 10,000 Trees for Barrie Campaign.

The Love Earth Tattoo Event is being held at Endeavour Tattoo and Piercing, 34 Essa Rd, Barrie, and all participants will be invited to join Living Green Barrie for the Fall Community Tree Planting.
