From schnitzel to spaghetti... dinner is served (6 photos)

Mark your calendars for these fundraising dinners at churches and legion halls

Bavarian hats, Oktoberfest beer steins, Schnitzel, Oktoberfest sausage with sauerkraut – the Lefroy-Belle Ewart Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion hosted its annual Oktoberfest Dinner this past Saturday.

Approximately 60 people turned out for the popular evening at the Legion hall. They enjoyed traditional German cuisine, beer hall music – and beer – served up in the best Oktoberfest tradition, all for only $25 per person.

The dinner was another fundraiser for the Lefroy Legion’s building fund, and a planned addition that will double the size of the dining area – making it possible for more than 60 people to enjoy the festivities at Oktoberfest, next year.
