FreshSpoke has seen a demand for access to local food quickly and aims to extend this beyond the current curbside daily service. Curbside pickup will remain available at FreshSpoke’s distribution centre in Barrie, Ont. from Tuesday to Saturday each week.
“The pandemic has accelerated consumers’ adoption of online grocery shopping,” states FreshSpoke CEO Marcia Woods. “With the launch of our same-day delivery and curbside pick-up service, shopping for locally made foods has never been more convenient.”
The online marketplace enables consumers outside of the Barrie area to order weekly delivery for further regions in Simcoe County, Muskoka District, York Region, Peel Region and Toronto.
