Four charged in cocaine bust

TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH – On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted the Drug Enforcement Unit, in executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Queen Street East, in Alliston. 

Members were also assisted by the Emergency Response Team as well as the Central Region Canine Unit.

The following persons were arrested and charged as follows:

  • Keith Braden, age 53, charged – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • Lisa Szymanski, age 44, charged – Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
  • Corey Szymanski, age 20, charged – Possession for the purpose of Trafficking.
  • Joel Stewart, age 28, charged – Fail to Comply and Possession of a Drug.

The parties arrested all gave the Queen Street location as their place of residence.

Seized as a result of the search was a quantity of hydromorphone pills and cocaine, with a street value of approximately $1,500.

Also seized was cash and other paraphernalia related to the investigation. All were released on a Promise to Appear.
