OPP were called to the scene of found human remains Monday at a construction site in Oro-Medonte.
Police say the remains were located on Diamond Valley Drive near Line 7 south of Horseshoe Valley Road.
Diamond Valley Drive is a new street in the area and the remains were on a lot recently cleared for construction.
The coroner attended the scene along with an anthropologist, according to OPP Sgt. Peter Leon.
"It appears to be historical in nature and not suspicious," Leon said.
The developer has arranged for some security as of today and the OPP's involvement at the scene has concluded, added Leon.
"We're continuing to assist the coroner with the investigation but it doesn't appear to be suspicious," he said.
