Forged fentanyl prescription suspect identified

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) requested the assistance of the public in identifying a suspect in a fraud that occurred at a local pharmacy in Gravenhurst on Sunday Jan. 28, 2018, during which a woman attended the pharmacy and was able to have a prescription filled for Fentanyl patches, The prescription was later determined to be fraudulent.

Once again, concerned members of the public came through with information that led to the identification of the suspect. On Tuesday Jan. 30, 2018, police arrested and charged 31 year-old Saundra McNeil of Brampton with:

  • Fraud over $5000 CC 380(1)(b) 
  • Possession of a schedule I substance CDSA 4(1)

She was held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 to answer to her charges.
