St. James Catholic School In Colgan Closed - Students Relocated 
 
Due to heavy rain and substantial flooding in parts of the New Tecumseth area, St. James Catholic School will be closed for the remainder of the school year - relocation arrangements are being made for students. 
 
Students will not attend class on Monday, June 26.
 
Beginning on Tuesday, June 27, students and staff will be relocated to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham.
 
Bussing will be provided for students to attend school at this temporary location. Regular updates regarding the logistics of this relocation will be posted to the school's website at smcdsb.on.ca/sja 
 
The majority of  the school facility including the office, gymnasium, library and one wing of classrooms sustained significant flooding. Staff will take time over the next week and throughout he summer to assess and repair damage and complete a thorough cleaning.

In a separate release, the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium reminds parents that all vehicles to St. James C.S. are cancelled due to flooding.
All other vehicles in the South zone will run as scheduled.
