Flooding affecting several areas of Innisfil (update)

Those who live in the area are asked to exercise extreme caution when returning home this evening

4:30 p.m. update

Please be advised that the flooding situation has improved, but residents are still asked to exercise caution around the following areas:

  • Maple Road between Belle Aire Beach Road and Spooners Road (street remains closed)
  • Buchanan Street and Tall Tree Lane (streets are not closed at this time)

All affected areas are barricaded and clearly marked. Town of Innisfil Operation crews continue to run pumps to remove the water as quickly as possible. This effort will continue until the roadways are clear. Residents are advised to avoid driving through flooded areas and roadways, and are encouraged to park elsewhere. Parking tickets will not be issued for those who are affected.

The following areas have now been given the all-clear, and do not have major issues at this time:

  • 9th Line between Yonge and 20th Sideroad
  • 25 Sideroad in the area of 9th Line
  • Rose Lane and Kathryn Street

Residents who spot flooding are asked to exercise caution and report it to the Town of Innisfil by visiting www.Innisfil.ca/contactus. We thank residents and motorists for their cooperation and patience.

Please be advised that a combination of mild temperatures and rain is causing some isolated flooding in some areas. Motorists are asked to exercise caution around the following locations:

  • Maple Road between Belle Aire Beach Road and Spooners Road
  • 9th Line between Yonge and 20th Sideroad
  • 25 Sideroad in the area of 9th Line
  • Rose Lane and Kathryn Street
