Warden George Cornell joined Colin Nelthorpe, chair of Fierté Simcoe Pride, today to raise flags at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre in support of Fierté’s mission “to create and offer inclusive events, services, and educational opportunities that rise above heterosexism, heteronormativity, and homo/bi/transphobia, promoting safe communities within Simcoe County.”

On behalf of the County of Simcoe, Warden Cornell expressed support for the 10th annual Fierté Simcoe Pride and its purpose to create a safe and inclusive Simcoe County that supports gender and sexual diversity through services, activities, and events. The County of Simcoe is proud to proclaim Fierté Simcoe Pride and raise the Rainbow and Transgender Pride flags.

Fierté Simcoe Pride is filled with numerous events from July 26 to Aug. 8, 2021 and activities that focus on education, awareness, community development, creative expression, and fun for the whole family.
