There was a large fire at Brooks Farms in Mount Albert yesterday.

The video footage posted on their Facebook page shows a barn wrapped in flames with the following note: “Hard day here everyone but the worse is over and emergency services have been stellar. Thanks for all the support."

No one was injured.

The barn destroyed by fire is the 150-year-old heritage building, not the Farm Market, according to an updated Facebook post, as well as part of "playland" and surrounding buildings.

Brooks Farms is a family-run facility located in Mount Albert and hosts many popular family friendly events year-round, like pumpkin festivals and holiday markets.

Comments have been flooding in with apologies and prayers.

“Thankful everyone is okay...so sad to see the fire,” wrote Tania SG.

“I am absolutely devastated to hear about the fire. Thank  god everyone is okay. My family loves Brooks Farm. We have been going here for years. Thoughts are with the family,” wrote Kristy Webber.

Others offered to help and assist in any way they can, with one lady even suggesting a community fundraiser.
