Crews busy with early morning house fire on Garden Dr.

Fire caused $300,000 in damages but no one was injured

An early morning structure fire in the city’s Allandale area caused $300,000 in damage, but left no injuries.

Emergency services received a call shortly after 1 a.m., Sunday morning, for a fire at 46 Garden Dr.

Assistant Deputy Fire Chief Carrie Clark told BarrieToday that no cause has been determined yet.

Investigators were on the scene this morning to find out exactly what happened.

Clark said 911 received a call around 1:15 a.m. alerting for a structure fire, said Clark.

“Crews attended and all occupants had evacuated thanks to a working smoke alarm that sounded to alert them to the trouble," she said.
