NEWS RELEASE

TOWN OF INNISFIL

*************************
INNISFIL – Due to current dry conditions, Innisfil will be under an immediate Open Air Burning Ban. This ban will remain in effect until significant rainfall has occurred in Innisfil.

“Take extra care with anything that might spark a flame, and turn into an accidental fire during the fire ban period,” cautions Innisfil’s Fire Chief, Jon Pegg. “Protecting our neighbourhoods from accidental, but devastating fires, starts with the fire ban, and continues with the help of each and every Innisfil resident and business.”

Public service announcements will be provided if the fire ban is extended or lifted.

Chief Pegg is asking residents for their cooperation and to not burn outdoors during this period.
