Ontario Provincial Police advise that Melissa Sarchuk has been located "safe and sound in Niagara Falls, Ontario."

"The OPP would like to thank everyone who assisted in bringing this investigation to a positive close."

TAY TOWNSHIP – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a missing person’s report in Tay Township.

Police received the call on March 22, 2016 at approximately 8:49 p.m.

Approximately two weeks ago, Melissa Chantel Sarchuk (age 30) left a friend’s house in Tay Township where she had been staying.

She travelled to Prince Edward Island (PEI) for personal reasons.

On Sunday March 20, 2016 she was last seen by a friend in Moncton, New Brunswick while travelling back to Ontario.

Police were called when she failed to return to the Tay Township residence.

She is described as five-foot-one 115lbs, short blonde hair, green eyes, thin build operating a 2006 silver Ford Focus with PEI licence plate 110NL.

Family, friends and police are concerned for her wellbeing and if anyone has seen Melissa or is aware of her whereabouts they are asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
