The City of Barrie is proud to present the community’s annual celebration of all things winter – Barrie Winterfest.

Winterfest takes place February 6 and 7 in Heritage Park, Memorial Square, and venues throughout Barrie. 

The event has been named one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario by Festivals and Events Ontario.

The event includes:

Shuttle & Downtown Parking

Winterfest offers a free Park 'n Ride Shuttle on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The shuttle will pick-up on Coulter Street behind the Bayfield Mall at Barrie Transit stop #203 and will drop off at the Downtown Transit Terminal.

If you plan to drive, downtown parking is available within close walking distance to the festivities.

Downtown parking is free after 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and on weekends.

Road Closures

Road closures for the event will include:

  • Simcoe Street from Maple Avenue to Dunlop Street – 7 a.m. on February 6 to 6 p.m. on February 7
  • Fred Grant Street from Dunlop Street to Chase McEachern Way and Chase McEachern Way from Fred Grant Street to Dunlop Street – 6 a.m. on February 6 to 6 p.m. on February 7.
