A line of strong to severe thunderstorms has developed over Wisconsin. The thunderstorms are expected to move rapidly eastward and cross southern Ontario overnight and early Saturday morning.

It is uncertain how strong or widespread these storms will be when they reach southern Ontario. There may be potential for strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, hail, and torrential downpours.

Environment Canada will monitor the situation closely. Please check for potential watches or warnings which may be issued this evening as the system moves closer.
