Canadian Federation University Women (CFUW) Barrie and District could not have begun their 20th Anniversary year any better than to have Ontario President Sandi Thomson speak at our kick off meeting.

Sandi informed her avid listeners about the aims and goals of CFUW International as it also celebrates its 100th Anniversary.

At our October 24 th meeting we will be hearing from the successful “Grandma asked me .. to just Vote!” campaign.

CFUW Southport will talk about their successes in engaging young people in discussions regarding the importance of exercising their democratic right to cast a ballot.

With Municipal elections just finishing and next year being a Federal election it is important to inform our youth the importance of their voice.

The public is invited to attend at 7 p.m. at the Waterford, 132 Edgehill Dr. Barrie.
