BRADFORD - On Monday, April 18, 2016, a Bradford man reported to South Simcoe Police that he had been threatened by his girlfriend and assaulted by another man.

The victim told officers that he went to a Crown Crescent address to speak to his girlfriend after she had misled him over her whereabouts.

During the subsequent conversation, she threatened to kill him. He returned to the house a few hours later and was punched in the face by the man.

While speaking with officers about this incident, the victim revealed a previous occasion where the woman had had assaulted him, and that they had been living together even though the woman is under a probation order to stay away from him,

On Tuesday, April 19, 2016, the woman was located at her home and arrested. The second suspect was arrested a short time later at a different house.

A 25-year-old Bradford woman has been charged with uttering threats, assault, and breach probation. A 30-year-old Bradford man has been charged with assault.

Both were held in custody for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
