Drone, K9 used in search for Milligan's Pond regular

Barrie Police Service were conducting a routine check of the area near Milligan's Pond shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 with knowledge that a male wanted on multiple warrants frequented there. 

The male was spotted and immediately fled on foot.  A perimeter was set up and police conducted a search with K9 and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in the area of Brock Street, in the City of Barrie.

At 10:25 a.m., after an extensive search, officers located the wanted male in the parking lot of 121 Wellington Street West and he was placed under arrest. 

The 43-year-old Barrie male will be held for bail court currently facing multiple charges including:

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fraud Under $5,000
  • Use Credit Card
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
  • Break and Enter
  • Possess Break In Instruments
