On June 10, 2016  South Simcoe Police received information regarding a possible impaired driver on Highway 27, Bradford West Gwillimbury.  

A short time after officers located the same vehicle leaving an establishment and during the investigation the driver was found to have consumed an alcohol beverage.  

An approved road side test was administered resulting in a fail.  

The accused was taken back to the South Simcoe Police station where he provided samples of his breath.

The accused, a 52-year-old male from Port Severn was charged with impaired operation and over 80 along with open alcohol.

The accused vehicle was impounded for seven days and his licence suspended for 90 days, then released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.
