Vehicle struck hydro pole
ORO-MEDONTE - On Monday April 4, 2016 at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers with the Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for a vehicle into a hydro pole.
A vehicle travelling on Ridge Road had struck a hydro pole between the 3rd and 4th lines of Oro-Medonte causing the pole to fall onto the vehicle.
The road was closed for a short time while a hydro crew attended the scene making it safe for first responders.
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, but was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
