Don't be afraid to take risks, Ford CEO tells grads

Students from the Barrie, Midland, Muskoka, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay campuses gathered at this afternoon's ceremony

Georgian College has awarded an Honorary Bachelor of Applied Studies degree to the President and CEO of the Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd.

The degree was bestowed on Dianne Craig in front of an audience of blue-robed grads and their families at the Fall convocation ceremony.

Craig's parents, both in their eighties, watched with pride from the front row.

"Find your passion. Follow your dreams and don't be afraid to take risks," Craig told the packed
auditorium.

More than 1,000 students were eligible to graduate from over 78 programs.

Students from the Barrie, Midland, Muskoka, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay campuses gathered at the ceremony.

Watch for full coverage from today's convocation in a followup story.
