Did you already get your 'cry baby' Trump mask for Halloween?

Well, if you didn't already buy one yet, they may be hard to find. One costume retailer suggests the popularity of certain presidential masks can predict the outcome of the U.S. election — and their track record is pretty good

Spirit Halloween, one of the largest Halloween retailers, is re-launching their famed Presidential Mask Index.

According to Spirit, they have accurately predicted the outcome of every presidential election since 1996 based on their top selling candidate mask. According to their website, Spirit President and CEO Steven Silverstein is confident this year’s must watch election coverage only adds to the season.

“With such a historic and eventful year in politics, we are eager to track the progress of our candidate mask sales as a fun comparison to more traditional polls,” said Silverstein on the corporate site. “Spirit Halloween’s Presidential Mask Index is an exciting and spirited way to bring together two American traditions – Halloween and Democracy.” Trumo masks were in high demand this year and have already sold out. Some of the early bird options were: Tax Evasion Trump, Cry Baby Trump, #HBIC Hillary or Cackling Clinton or Tricky Trump.

This is the last weekend before Halloween and for many the last chance to get your costumes before the big day. Kids and adults both will be out this weekend in full force looking for last minute ideas, which are beginning to become scarce. As anticipated, most Halloween locations are sold out of the very popular Harley Quinn costumes for women, while men are looking for inspiration south of the border for their costume.

While the kids will be excited to head out on Monday and get their treats, adults are planning their big night out in a different way. Halloween parties are a huge night for local establishments and Dustin Leigh is planning for a busy weekend for his club, The Johnson’s Residence.

“Halloween is like another New Years to us,” said Leigh. “It's a night that a huge amount of people celebrate resulting in all bars downtown being packed, from pub to club.” Leigh knows what to expect when it’s nearing time to open the doors. While a few people will go for the funny, conversation piece, the night will be focused on many people looking to flaunt it if they got it.

Leigh claims that many of the women that come through the doors will be dressed sexy way, while men will usually just grab the “conversation-piece” costume from the store.

As for how Leigh will be dressed, the young business owner says he’s going to be too busy to get too creative. “Being open three nights I always try and make it where I'm not spending $150 a night on costumes so I’ll make one costume work in different ways,” said Leigh. “So for example I'll be a standard Halloween store penguin on Friday, then on Saturday I will cover him in blood and be a zombie penguin, and Monday I'll toss on some angel wings and bunny ears and be a confused penguin.”
