The Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) Holiday Train will be rolling into Springwater Township at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at Highway 26 and Anne Street North.

The CP Holiday Train collects food and money for the Elmvale and District Food Bank and the Barrie Food Bank, helping raise awareness in the fight against hunger.

The Holiday Train provides a box car stage, a line-up of great musical talent and a corporate contribution to both local Food Banks. The event is free to attend, however residents are encouraged to donate food items and funds, all of which will stay in the local community.

The musical guests this year are Emma-Lee and Colin James. Emma-Lee is a Toronto-born singer and song writer who splashed onto the Canadian music scene with her debut album ‘Never Just a Dream” in 2008.

Since then, she has performed internationally and her music has been featured in countless film and television shows. Colin James is a Canadian Blues icon that has shared the stage with some of the greatest and most influential musicians in the world. The six time Juno award winner is known for his superb guitar skills and electrifying stage performance.

Now entering its 19th season, the CP Holiday Train has raised over $13 million and 4 million pounds of food has been collected for local food banks thanks to generous community support.
