Cookstown to host inaugural Micro-Wedding Open House

'It's great to be able to provide this space and to be working alongside people that make memorable moments for our guests,' said Glass Manor and Cookstown Antique Market co-owner

Love is in the air at the Glass Manor south of Barrie for the inaugural Micro-Wedding Open House on Friday, Feb. 24, from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Located at the Cookstown Antique Market, 5108 Simcoe County Rd. 27, on a four-acre country estate, organizers say the Glass Manor is the perfect space for micro-weddings and other meaningful events — especially for those who love antique and vintage items.

“This is our first ever Micro-Wedding Open House," said Diana Robinson, co-owner of the Glass Manor and Cookstown Antique Market. "Guests joining us will have a tour of our unique indoor and outdoor spaces, meet preferred vendors, enjoy light, complimentary refreshments, as well as have access to special offers."

Preferred vendors include companies who provide seamless support to customers, which includes full-service catering (with support), catering only, event coordination, cake and sweet treats, bar service, live musicians, DJ services, officiants, photography, videography, and florals.

Whether couples are planning their wedding in 2023 or 2024, co-owners Bill and Diana Robinson are happy to provide a picturesque space for their special day.

“It's great to be able to provide this space and to be working alongside people that make memorable moments for our guests,” Bill said.

With accommodations and established relationships with catering companies such as Catering by Anita, Peake Barbecue, and Turn of Events and Catering, the Glass Manor is a gem in the community with an idyllic atmosphere.

For more information regarding the event, you can follow the Glass Manor on Instagram or Facebook. Information for booking the Glass Manor can be found on their website or by calling the Cookstown Antique Market at 705-458-1275.
