COMMUNITIES IN BLOOM

The City of Barrie is participating in the 2018 National Edition of Communities in Bloom in the 'Circle of Excellence - Evaluated' category.
The Communities in Bloom judges, Bob Lewis from Ottawa, Ont. and John Lohuis from Tillsonburg, Ont. will be evaluating the City of Barrie from July 24-26. The City of Barrie would like to remind all businesses and residents to tidy up their property before the judges arrive.
Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility, beautification and to improving quality of life through community participation and a national challenge.
The national and international results will be announced in Strathcona County, Alberta from Sept. 26 to 29, 2018 during the Symposium and Awards Ceremonies with the theme of 'Seeds for the Future.'
To support the educational aspect of its activities, the organization established the Communities in Bloom Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to funding, developing, and disseminating education and awareness on the value, improvement, importance and sustainable development of green spaces and natural environment in Canada.
