Kitchener Minor Hockey product Jason Willms has been named the new captain of the Barrie Colts.
The reveal was made at Colts picture day on Monday.
Willms has nine goals and 17 assists in 41 games this season.
The 19-year-old had a career year last season, scoring 27 goals and adding 32 helpers.
Willms replaces Justin Murray as captain. Murray ended up with the Saginaw Spirit following a three-way trade in December.
Willms joins a long line of Colts captains, including Brad Brown, Jeff Cowan, Daniel Tkaczuk, Sheldon Keefe, Matt Dzieduszycki, Eric Reitz, Jeremy Swanson, B.J. Crombeen, Bryan Little, Tomas Marcinko, Stefan Della Rovere, Dalton Prout, Colin Behenna, Ryan O'Connor, Aaron Ekblad, Joseph Blandisi, Mike Webster, Cordell James and Murray.
