INNISFIL - An elderly Alcona resident was nearly duped into giving up her credit card information yesterday.
The woman reported that a suspectcalled and offered to transfer her credit card debt at a lower rate.
She gave out more information than she should have before realizing it was ascam.
She quickly called her bank and cancelled the cards before losing any money.
March is Fraud Prevention Month.
