The following city services will be affected on Monday, May 23:

Barrie Transit

There will be no Barrie Transit service on Monday, May 23. For more information about Barrie Transit, visit barrie.ca/TransitNotices.

Curbside Collection

There will be no garbage, green bin, recycling box or yard waste collection on Monday, May 23. Collection is moved to the next day for the remainder of the week. Please ensure all items are curbside by 7 a.m. Visit barrie.ca/CurbsideCollection for more information about garbage, organics, recycling and yard waste.

City Hall

Barrie City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 23.

Recreation & Community Centres

Barrie’s Recreation and Community Centres will be closed on Monday, May 23.

Parking

Downtown parking (on-street and lots) is free on statutory holidays. Waterfront parking is enforced 24/7/365; residents must display their permits and visitors are required to pay $10/hour (daily maximum: $50). Visit barrie.ca/Parking for details.

Fireworks reminder

Residents are permitted to use fireworks on the Victoria Day holiday — Monday, May 23 (as per the Regulatory Matters bylaw). Please review fireworks safety reminders.
