Charges laid in December pedestrian death

A 32-year-old male faces serious charges after a 63-year-old female pedestrian was struck and killed on December 8.

A lengthy investigation has led to charges against a 32-year-old Barrie male in regards to the death of a 63-year-old female pedestrian on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. 

After speaking to witnesses, collecting surveillance videos and reconstructing the scene of the accident, Barrie Police Traffic Unit laid a charge of Dangerous driving cause death on Friday, February 5, 2016. 

The male, who was the driver of the vehicle that struck the female victim, was released on a promise to appear with a future court date of Monday, March 14, 2016.
