A celebration of Dana Camber's life will be held this Sunday in Barrie.

The 50-year-old local woman was gunned down in her Kozlov St. apartment early March 14 after police received a 911 call about the sound of gunshots.

Camber was found without vital signs her in her third floor home.

She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination showed Camber died of a single shotgun wound to the abdomen.

"She will be dearly missed by her mother, daughter, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and many extended family and friends," read the notification about the memorial service.

The gathering will take place at 1 p.m. Sun. Apr. 2 at the Sheba Shrine Club at 142 John St.

Barrie Police have said they believed Camber knew her assailant but there has been no arrest.

In lieu of flowers, Camber's family is asking for donations in Dana’s memory to the Glowing Hearts Community Give and Get Centre.
